Roberta's Place, Inc. is committed to working for personal, community and social change to eliminate Domestic Violence in the lives of women, children, and families. Roberta's place achieves this by providing the following:
Shelter, counseling, educational classes and support services for victims of domestic violence and their children.
Non-residential (non-shelter) counseling, educational classes and support services for domestic abuse survivors and their children.
Empower survivors and their children to advocate for themselves.
Participate in efforts to have abusers take responsibility for, and end violent and abusive behavior toward their partners through our Batters Intervention Program.
Advocate for changes supportive of domestic violence victims in our legislative, judicial, and bureaucratic systems.
Roberta's Place provides counseling (professional and peer counseling), shelter, advocacy support, skills and knowledge and parenting classes for both shelter residents and non-shelter residents. Roberta's Place works closely with community groups, law enforcement agencies, courts, schools, tribal groups and social service organizations to educate, reduce and eliminate the incidences of domestic violence.
Robertas's Place also provides community education in the schools, head Start programs, Community service Organizations, women's Prison, and home health Care Organizations to provide awareness and education to the public about domestic violence prevention.
